Following your intake (which includes asking about medications, pain, job, habits, etc.), you will undress to your comfort level (You are free to wear underwear if that makes you comfortable) and position yourself as instructed under the sheet/blanket. You will then need to communicate about your comfort and pressure during your massage. Finally, we will outline a treatment plan to achieve the best possible lasting results.
It is encouraged to communicate to get the best out of your massage treatment. Remember, This time is all about you. I want to know what feels good/bad and how you felt after your last treatments. Your body also communicates to let me know what is working or not working within your session.
Treatment plans vary for everyone...for some, once a month is sufficient, others need treatment on a more regular basis. I have clients that see me anywhere from twice a week, weekly, biweekly, and some every six weeks. You will be informed of the best option for you as part of your treatment plan before you leave. Massage in Slidell Pain Relief Massage in Slidell
Some types of massage can leave you sore for the next day or two. If any part of your massage doesn't feel right or is painful, speak up right away so pressure can be adjusted. Drinking water after the massage will help to properly hydrate muscles, which can help to reduce muscle aches and stiffness. Stretching and hot epsom salt baths are also great after a massage. Avoid strenuous activity for a couple of days.
